Parallax Instruments I — Meridian

Eight nocturnal instruments where blackened mechanics, optical glass, and measured light become monumental desktop architecture.

A floor-mounted meridian calibrator turns concentric black steel and one warm beam into a horizon-scale monument.

Meridian Ring

Parallax Instruments I — Meridian

Overlapping graphite blades close around a restrained amber core while the chamber falls away into black.

Eclipse Shutter

Parallax Instruments I — Meridian

A smoked-glass heliostat bends cool measurement light through a massive, nearly weightless optical plate.

Heliostat Index

Parallax Instruments I — Meridian

Bearing, fork, and counterweight hold a severe mechanical line above a recessed calibration track.

Transit Arm

Parallax Instruments I — Meridian

Three complete gimbal rings suspend a dense graphite rotor inside a field of blue-black stillness.

Gyro Silence

Parallax Instruments I — Meridian

One hairline signal folds through a thick smoked prism and exits as a warm-white seam.

Calibration Glass

Parallax Instruments I — Meridian

An edge-on listening dish rises from its azimuth bearing under a single cold rim and amber alignment point.

Antenna Quiet

Parallax Instruments I — Meridian

Nested optical baffles emerge from darkness as an architectural barrel trained on an empty chamber.
